Early Life and Beginnings

Addison Rae Easterling was born on October 6, 2000, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Growing up with two younger brothers, Enzo and Lucas, and an older half-sister, Macye, Rae’s childhood was filled with dance and creativity.

She began dancing competitively at the age of six, traveling across the U.S. for competitions. In 2019, she briefly attended Louisiana State University to study broadcast journalism, aiming to become a sports broadcaster. However, her life changed quickly after joining TikTok.

Addison Rae joined TikTok in 2019, posting dance and lip-sync videos that went viral almost instantly. She soon became part of the popular content collective The Hype House, skyrocketing her following.

She celebrated the release with standout performances, including a surprise collaboration with Arca at Coachella 2025, and later opened for Lana Del Rey at Wembley Stadium.

Addison Rae’s sound blends dance-pop, bubblegum pop, and synth-pop, influenced by icons like Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and Charli XCX.

But she also pulls from avant-garde artists like FKA Twigs, Arca, and Yves Tumor, surprising fans with her eclectic playlists.
