A Journey Rooted in Lyric and Baroque Traditions
For Spanish artist Carlos Ucedda, music has never been just a profession—it has been a lifelong calling. With formal lyric training and preparation spanning from 1994 to 2004, Ucedda’s artistry is deeply intertwined with the elegance and emotional depth of Baroque and Sacred music.
“My roots come from lyric music—specifically Baroque and Sacred music,” says Ucedda. “Those early years shaped everything I am today as a performer.”
Mentored by Masters of Baroque Expression
Carlos’s journey began thanks to the generosity and encouragement of his early mentors and employers, who supported his musical training both emotionally and financially for nearly three years. Their faith in his talent helped him take his first steps into the classical world.
He later enrolled at Juventudes Musicales (Granada), where he studied under the acclaimed Welsh baroque music teacher and mezzo-soprano Marian Brufdin. Following her guidance, Ucedda continued at the Academia de Música Villalobos (Granada), and expanded his foundation in solfège with soprano Mariló Jiménez.
“Marian Brufdin and Mariló Jiménez were key figures in my growth,” he reflects. “They not only refined my voice but taught me discipline, patience, and the emotional language of music.”

Academic Achievements and Artistic Growth
Carlos’s dedication led him to the Professional Music Centre (Scaem), where he continued his studies under Brufdin and performed with a chamber choir, further strengthening his baroque expression.
In 1998, he attended XXIX Cursos Manuel de Falla in Granada, studying under the world-renowned Helena Lazarska. The following year, he was evaluated by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)—and proudly passed with Merit.
He later attended a specialized course in Baeza (Jaén), guided by countertenor Carlos Mena, another pivotal moment that deepened his connection to sacred and baroque art forms.
Performances that Echo Through Time
Ucedda’s early career was marked by powerful performances at prestigious venues, including:
- Auditorio Manuel de Falla (Granada)
- Teatro Isabel La Católica (Granada)
- Teatro Huétor Santillán (Granada)
These performances were celebrated for their purity of tone and emotional resonance, earning him a dedicated following within Spain’s classical circles.
A Return to Music: Rediscovering the Voice Within
After stepping away from the stage for professional reasons, Carlos made a triumphant return to music in 2021, reigniting his passion for performance and composition.
“I was away for a long time,” he admits. “Work took me far from my music—but the heart never forgets. I knew I had to come back.”

“Dose of Love” – A Poetic Rebirth
On September 12, Carlos released his latest work, “DOSE OF LOVE”, a deeply emotional piece that blends classical lyricism with a modern poetic soul. The project reflects his eternal muse—love.
“My latest work is reflected again in love,” he says. “Love on fire—because it’s the one emotion that never fades.”
“Dose of Love” captures a timeless yearning through tender Italian-inspired verses:
Come ogni mese aspettando alla stazione
ogni mese
aspettando il tuo sorriso
Dose d’amore, due anime fluttuanti
due esseri alati.
Each line evokes longing and transcendence—an embrace between the sacred and the human.
“I raise my arms, embracing the sun. The kite soars… waiting for love that will blow like wings,” he writes.

An Artist Guided by Faith, Passion, and Emotion
For Carlos Ucedda, music is more than sound—it’s a spiritual connection between heaven and earth. His career reflects decades of devotion, study, and emotional expression rooted in truth.
As he continues to share his work with the world, Ucedda reminds us that it’s never too late to return to one’s passion.
“Thanks for being there,” he says humbly to his listeners. “Each song is a piece of my soul, given with gratitude.”
